Folio 330. Letter from John Kirkland, Clerk to the Rural Sanitary Authority of the Southwell Union, to the Local Government Board. He reports that at a meeting of the Guardians it was unanimously agreed that Mr Henry Dixon should continue as Inspector of Nuisances for the Sanitary District at the salary of £52 per annum, and that the period for which he is to act as Inspector is for one year from Christmas last.
He asks the Board to note that the present appointment is at a reduced salary of £48 per annum, the Authority being of the opinion that the duties have decreased so that a reduction may consequently be made in the salary. The approval of the Board is sought.
