1 individual petition (the Reverend John Calthrop) on behalf of Richard Knight convicted at Lincoln Epiphany Sessions 1824 of stealing pigs. Grounds for clemency: had an alibi and should have been acquitted but the jury convicted him. Mistaken for another man named William Robinson. Affidavit of William Stewart confessing to the theft. Initial sentence: transportation for 7 years. MK45
