1 collective petition with testimonies (8 people including the minister and principal inhabitants of Malpas, Cheshire) on behalf of John Pemberton, labourer, convicted at Chester Quarter Sessions on 12 January 1829 of stealing pigs. Grounds for clemency: industrious, has a wife and 2 young children, first and only offence, would be re-employed if released. Initial sentence: 7 years' transportation.
