Description

1 individual petition (George Palmer the Elder, convict's father, a gardener) and 1 collective petition (15 householders of the area) on behalf of George Palmer the Younger, convicted at the Old Bailey October Sessions 1829 of stealing a pocket handkerchief property of Mr Jennings. Grounds for clemency: first offence, extreme youth, would be re-employed, good character. Initial sentence: transportation for life. Gaoler's report: in prison before. Annotated: nil. KO16
