Letter from Robert Salter of Margate [Kent] recommending that William Davis, sentenced to 6 months' imprisonment in Maidstone Gaol for uttering a counterfeit shilling, be released to serve in the navy. Enclosed is a fragment bearing the name of Mr Morgan, counsel for the prisoner at his trial, whose support Salter affirms.
