Folios 244-245. Draft out-letter to the lord mayor of London informing him that the king had signed the warrant for the attorney-general to prepare the Bill for the Lieutenancy of London to pass the Great Seal. The letter states the home secretary's readiness to cooperate with the lord mayor in the suppression of sedition in the metropolis and his intention of consulting with [William Mainwaring, chairman of Middlesex and Westminster Quarter Sessions] of whose support he was confident.
