Folios 228-229. Letter from Francis Gregor [MP for Cornwall] stating that a French agent may have been buying up American corn before the ships reached Falmouth where the Government's agent was stationed for that purpose. Gregor suggests that some Government action to improve the situation of the miners would be the best means of allaying the suspicion of the tinners that corn had been exported illegally by Sir William Molesworth [former MP for Cornwall] and Edward Fox of Wadebridge, both of whom had been threatened with murder.
