Folios 176-178. Letter from Colonel John Reed of the Northumberland Militia at Alnwick reporting on 2 meetings, at Easington and Lesbury respectively, of hinds [agricultural labourers] and barnmen seeking to improve their wages. Enclosed is a copy of the resolutions passed by some 80 men at Easington. Also enclosed [HO 42/24/83] is Reed's valuation of the demanded wages-in-kind.
