Folios 19-22. Letter from Leonard Troughear Holmes, chairman of the Isle of Wight magistrates. Enclosed is a resolution, signed by Holmes on behalf of the magistrates, Edward Rushworth, the Reverend John Barwis, the Reverend Henry Worsley and Thomas Binsteed, that the chairman should ask the home secretary for copies of the Alien Act so that they could put it into immediate effect.
