Folios 205A-206. Letter from William Clarkson Wilkinson, to the Poor Law Commission, applying for the position of one of the registrars for the Borough of Liverpool under the 'Act of the 6th and 7th of Wm the 4th entitled An Act for Registering Births Deaths and Marriages in England'. He considers that he is qualified as for the last 11 years he has been clerk of St George's Church in Liverpool, and he is well versed in arithmetic. He forwards a testimony in his support received when he was a candidate for the position of superintendent registrar for the West Derby Poor Law Union. Also enclosed is this recommendation letter sent to the board of guardians of the union of the township of West Derby.
