- Folios 178-183. Letter from [Sandon] to Thomas Frankland Lewis, Poor Law Commissioner], regarding the appointment of registrars and superintendent registrars. He encloses the memorial of John Eckersley who seeks the position of superintendent registrar at Liverpool. He states that the signatures to the memorial are most respectable. Also included is a note by [Mr A Rowan] to the effect he has spoken with Mr Eckersley on the matter. [Folios 178-180 are year guards etc.] Poor Law Union Number 220. Counties: Lancashire.
