'Removals from Liverpool'. Page referring to seamen: John Stevenson, his wife Mary Stevenson; and James C and his Wife [Ann C]. List of accounts referring to orders, relief pensions, cards, Scotch pass, debtors, 'Poor Weavers', E Fetton to Worcester, overseers of Ardwick, overseers of Benton upon Irwell, and overseers of Whitton, Mr Harper to Denby, etc. List titled 'Liverpool Poor' Jane Wheelar, Manchester; Mary James, Liverpool; Jane Lloyd and children, Wigan. Page from pay book. List of 'Poor of Out Parishes': Mary Williams and family, Ann Chartres and Mary Jones and family - all Chester; Ann Sidney and Henry Hurbert [and wife] - all Manchester; Mary Heyworth - Runcorn; [June Croft], Ann Disley and family, Mary Sharp, Ann Simpson, and John Ford - all Wigan. Printed pro-forma to the Liverpool churchwardens and overseers and signed J A and P B [James Aspinall and Peter Bourne], Magistrates, that on the certificate of R G C, Surgeon, that 'P W D' appears of insane mind. On the evidence of 'A B' Assistant Overseer, that 'A B' has no estate to pay for his own removal, the Liverpool parish officers are directed to have him moved to the Lancashire Lunatic Asylum. Pro-forma signed John Lepp, sworn before James Aspinall, Magistrate, to allow reasonable expenses for the conveying of John Smally to the Lancashire County Lunatic Asylum. Examination of Margaret Baxindale, widow of William Baxindall, Shoemaker. She swears that they were married at Dundalk, Ireland, in 1824. He was born at Portsmouth, Hampshire and was bound to Thomas Baxindale, his brother. His indenture was lost many years ago. Their children are Alice Baxindale, Thomas Baxindale, George Baxindale and Ellen Baxindale; all born in Liverpool. Since his apprenticeship he has done nothing else to acquire legal settlement. Blank/unused 'Removal to Ireland' pro-forma. 'Signed' Gorst and Birchall', Deputy Clerks to the Peace. Form or page from register: 'Irish Poor Ordered to be Passed to Ireland', listing [----- O'Connell], wife and 4 children.
