Folios 224-242. Letter from Richard Michell Hodge, Clerk to the Guardians of the Truro Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. Enclosed are, in reply to the Commission's request, forms showing the details of the union's medical officers: Edward John Spry as Medical Officer for the East Kenwyn District. The form shows Spry of Truro had been a medical officer for the East Kenwyn District of the Truro Union. The salary to be £30 per annum. The post is an annual reappointment. John Moyle the younger as Medical Officer for the Kea District. The form shows Moyle of St Mawes had been a medical officer for the Kea District of the Truro Union since 1837. The salary to be £30 per annum. The post is an annual reappointment. Lawrence Samuel Boyne as Medical Officer for the St Just District. The form shows Boyne of Truro had not held a similar post in the Truro Union. The salary to be £20 per annum. The post is an annual appointment. Matthew George Painter as Medical Officer for the West Kenwyn District. The form shows Painter of Chacewater, Truro had been a medical officer for the West Kenwyn District of the Truro Union. The salary to be £20 per annum. The post is an annual reappointment. John Paddon as Medical Officer for the St Clement District.
