Caption order and prison record from when he was convicted of two indictments of stealing a dress and various other articles of wearing apparel at the Quarter Sessions at Stafford, Staffordshire 03 March 1858.
Then aged 19 years and by trade [not given].
Sentence: 4 years penal servitude.
Licence granted 31 May 1861, for early release from Portland prison.
