Caption order and prison record from when he was convicted of obtaining 10s by fraud at the Quarter Sessions at Stafford, Staffordshire 03 March 1858.
Then aged 40 years and by trade a writing clerk.
Sentence: 4 years penal servitude.
Licence granted 31 May 1861, for early release from Portland prison.
