Caption order and prison record from when he was convicted of assaulting William Smith and stealing 2s from his person, in company with others at the Assizes at Worcester, Worcestershire 03 March 1858.
Then aged 24 years and by trade a chain maker.
Sentence: 4 years penal servitude.
Licence granted 31 May 1861, for early release from Portland prison.
