Caption order and prison record from when he was convicted of larceny, stealing a drawer, 1s in copper money and 60oz of tobacco, the property of Andrew Chadwick with previous conviction of felony at the Quarter Sessions at Manchester, Lancashire 16 October 1857.
Then aged 21 years and by trade a boatman.
Sentence: 4 years transportation.
Licence granted 30 March 1861, for early release from Millbank prison.
