Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission, to James L Barker, Clerk to the Guardians of the Tynemouth Poor Law Union, acknowledging their letter of 29 June 1839 and stating that they are not satisfied that the ratepayers of Tynemouth township have any title to the piece of wasteland and that the commissioners cannot sanction the sale.
