Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission, to James L Barker, Clerk to the Guardians of the Tynemouth Poor Law Union, acknowledging their letter of 22 December 1838 and the enclosures concerning the sale of property belonging to the township of Tynemouth. They request that a copy of the consent of the Lord of the Manor or a certificate from his steward be obtained as directed by the eighth requisition. Paper number: 8937/B/1838.
