Folios 287-289. Letter from James L Barker, Clerk to the Guardians of the Tynemouth Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, asking the Commission to issue an order for the new valuation of Cowpen township. Enclosed: two documents stating that the union need a new valuation of Cowpen township under the Parochial Assessment Act. Both documents are signed by the Guardians, John Tinley, Chairman, William Brown, Thomas Richardson and George Hall. Paper number: 8652/B/1838. Poor Law Union Number 333. Counties: Northumberland.
