Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission, to R Barker [Richard Barker] and James L Barker, Clerks to the Guardians of the Tynemouth Poor Law Union, acknowledging their letter of 25 October 1838 concerning the appointment of William Wilson as Collector of Rates for Cowpen township. They wish to call the attention of the guardians of the enclosed order circular concerning the appointment of assistant overseers [not included]. They approve the appointment if Wilson meets the requirements in the order. Paper number: 7643/B/1838. Poor Law Union Number 333. Counties: Northumberland.
