Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Joseph Lowndes, Clerk to the Guardians of the Wolstanton and Burslem Poor Law Union, acknowledging receipt of his letter of 22 January 1846 with its enclosure. The appointment of Thomas Pickering Passcall [Thomas Passcall] as Baker to the workhouse at a salary of £25 per annum plus maintenance in the workhouse is sanctioned. Paper number: 1137/B/1846.
