- Folio 198. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Joseph Lowndes, Clerk to the Guardians of the Wolstanton and Burslem Poor Law Union, acknowledging receipt of his letter of 7 January 1846, enclosing a list of lunatics and idiots chargeable to the parishes in the union on 1 January 1846, with a summary. The Commissioners consider that to send a copy of the list to the clerk of the visitors to the asylum would be sufficient, but sending a copy to the superintendent would not. Paper number: 326/B/1846. Poor Law Union Number 415. Counties: Staffordshire.
