- Folio 165. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Joseph Lowndes, Clerk to the Guardians of the Wolstanton and Burslem Poor Law Union, acknowledging redeipt of his letter of 25 September 1845 and enclosing a copy of an order issued by the Commission authorising application of the Wolstanton sale produce to liquidation of Wolstanton's proportion of the balance of the loan [not included]. The guardians should pay the money to the Public Works Loan Commissioners as an extraordinary payment. After payment of the money and application by the guardians, the Public Works Loan Commissioners will reduce further repayments. The guardians should credit the entire sum to Wolstanton parish. Paper number: 12978/B/1845. Poor Law Union Number 415. Counties: Staffordshire.
