Folio 35. Letter from W and E Willoby [William Willoby and Edward Willoby], Clerks to the Guardians of the Berwick-upon-Tweed Poor Law Union, to Edwin Chadwick [Secretary to the Poor Law Commission], regarding the election order, and asking whether every individual parish or township requires a separate person and place to receive nomination papers, or whether the three relieving officers of the union can act on behalf of the parishes in their respective districts, which has been the method previously adopted by the guardians, due to the difficulty in finding others willing to be named. Annotated: 18 February 1845, that the order will not be complied with unless separate persons are appointed for each parish or township. Paper number: 1900/A/1845. Poor Law Union Number 325. Counties: Town and County of Berwick-upon-Tweed and Northumberland.
