- Folio 34. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Messrs W and E Willoby [William Willoby and Edward Willoby], Clerks to the Guardians of the Berwick-upon-Tweed Poor Law Union, acknowledging receipt of their letter of 12 February regarding the debts of the parish of Tweedmouth. They are prepared to issue an order to liquidate the debts but require to inspect the original securities. With regard to the resolution of the parochial meeting of 28 November 1844, it notes that this consents to the payment to Messrs Skelly [George Skelly, butcher, Tweedmouth] and Smith [Robert Smith] of the debt which is due to Mrs Bell.
