This series deals with the supply and control of manufacture of agricultural machinery during the period between the two World Wars. These records illustrate, among other things, the relevant legislation, the work of various administrative bodies set up to direct the supply and development of agricultural machinery, the control of imports and exports and some of the use to which the machinery was put. It also includes the AMB (Agricultural Machinery Development 1942-1951) and AMY (Agricultural Machinery and Housing Material) file series. Includes material relating to the Agricultural Improvement Council for England and Wales.
Some early records from the AM file series (MAF 295) are also included.
