Folio 5: case no 1, John Mannock, aged 56, convict, taken ill at Woolwich; sick or hurt, mania, embarked apparently in fair state of health, but since then the derangement was fully developed, in a [mischievous?] wayward temper with occasional depression of spirits, the disease is unattended by any symptom that would lead to the supposition of its being of a recent origin; put on sick list 2 August 1844, returned 5 August 1844 to prison.

Folio 6: case no 2, Mr John Fraser, aged 30, overseer of convicts, taken ill at Woolwich; sick or hurt, dislocation fracture, he joined this ship two weeks ago for the purpose of a passage to Van Dieman's Land. and was ordered from the Secretary of State's Office to receive full diet and to assist in the discipline of the convicts. This morning while in the active performance of his duty, he slipped off the main deck hatchway and fell to the bottom suffering the dislocation and compound fracture of the right ankle with a complete luxation of the shoulder joint of the same side; put on sick list 7 August 1844, discharged 7 August 1844 to convict hospital ship at Woolwich.

Folios 6-8: case no 3, William Aylward, aged 24, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, phthisis, he was subject to cough and expectoration for several months past, and that had been under treatment in the Millbank Prison for his complaint. The surgeon stated that he did not complain earlier being anxious to accompany his father, who was also a prisoner on board to the Colony. Since the ship was at sea he suffered a good deal from sea nausea, which added considerably to his former debilitated constitution; put on sick list 15 August 1844, died 14 October 1844.
