Folios 421-422. Letter from Geo C Fox and Sons of Falmouth [Cornwall] informing the home secretary that they had passed his orders to the distressed émigrés aboard Artabido, 69 of whom had indicated a wish to enlist with the Count [correctly duc] de Chartres, that they had paid the vessel's Spanish captain to transport them to Portsmouth, and that they would supply provisions for the voyage. The remaining émigrés would be landed and would be required to apply for passports from the magistrates.
