- Folios 300-301. Letter from Joseph Lowndes, Clerk to the Guardians of the Wolstanton and Burslem Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, regarding the dismissal of John Stonier and appointment of Thomas Cotterill as Tailor at the union workhouse. Stonier has been dismissed due to his inability to instruct or control the boys in his care. Cotterill has been appointed at a salary of 3s 4d a day and sanction for this is sought. Annotated: sanction, 16 January 1841. Paper number: 479/B/1841. Poor Law Union Number 415. Counties: Staffordshire.
