He understands the assistant collector is not an officer of the guardians but of the collector himself. The guardians require that their sanction be had of the person he may appoint and they want their sanction confirmed; no reason to think there is an objection to this. Paper number: 12427/B/1840. Poor Law Union Number 415. Counties: Staffordshire.
