Observed to be unwell at embarkation by the surgeon, it later transpired he had suffered a bowel complaint for some days and had been treated on the hulk by a convict acting as an Assistant Surgeon and had not seen the Surgeon. Treatment is only recorded to 1 September and the first part of the following folio is blank.
