Caption order and prison record from when he was convicted of Theft or robbery aggrivated by habit and repute with previous conviction at the Circuit Court of Justiciary at Ayr, Scotland on 26 April 1853.
Then aged 18 years and by trade a Blacksmith.
Sentence: 7 years tranportation.
Licence granted 27 December 1856, for early release from Portsmouth prison.
