Folios 204-205. Letter from John D Taylor [John Dobede Taylor], Clerk to the to the Guardians of the Bishop's Stortford Poor Law Union to Edwin Chadwick, Secretary to the Poor Law Commission, with reference to the Farnham parish property. The sale of the parish house, originally built on 'the Waste' and now demolished, is incomplete due to the magistrates' refusal to issue a warrant of possession for the tenants' unauthorized building. Annotated: to check 'what is the amount in the hands of the Treasurer - & what is due from this'. Paper number: 11498/A/1844. Poor Law Union number 167. Counties: Hertfordshire and Essex.
