Folio 1: Edmund Shaskley, a free passenger, aged 40; disease or hurt, a fit of rigor, followed by general heat, acute headache and severe pain in the right side, aggravated by a short dry cough. Taken ill, 15 July 1817. Cured 28 July 1817.
Folio 1: Aaron Whiggins, Convict, aged 29; disease or hurt, inflammation of the left leg caused by striking it against a chest. Taken ill, 2 August 1817. Cured 9 August 1817.
Folio 2: Philip Potts, Convict, aged 46; disease or hurt, pain in the breast affecting respiration, attended by a short dry cough. Taken ill, 10 August 1817. Discharged 13 August 1817.
Folios 2 and 4: Thomas Kelly, Private Soldier, aged 23; disease or hurt, acute pain between the fourth and sixth ribs, running up to the shoulder, affecting the respiration and affected by a short dry cough. Taken ill, 24 August 1817. Discharged to duty 10 September 1817.
Folios 2, 7 and 13: William Terry, Convict, aged 31; disease or hurt, severe pain in his right side, distressing cough, dyspepsia and headache. Taken ill, 26 August 1817. Died 15 November 1817. Had cough for three months previously but did not complain while in the hulk.
Folios 2A, 9, 15 and 18: Austin Golding, Convict, aged 46; disease or hurt, severe pain in the middle of the thorax, dyspepsia and troublesome hacking cough. Taken ill, 1 September 1817. Died 24 October 1817. Suffered habitual cough and expectoration for several years.
Folio 3: James Barnes, Convict, aged 21; disease or hurt, pains in left side impeding respiration, headache and vertigo. Taken ill, 30 August 1817. Recovered but weak 4 September 1817.
Folio 3: Andrew Wood, Convict, aged 39; disease or hurt, anorexia headache and costive bowels. Taken ill, 3 September 1817. Discharged 13 September 1817.
Folio 3: Thomas Kelley, case continued. Discharged to duty 10 September.
Folio 3: Joseph Everton, Convict, aged 35; disease or hurt, fell down the main hatch and broke a rib. Taken ill, 10 September 1817. Discharged 26 September 1817.
Folio 4: James Fleming, Convict, aged 16; disease or hurt, headache, nausea, anorexia, bad taste in his mouth and sickness of the stomach. Taken ill, 2 September 1817. Dismissed 14 September 1817.
Folio 4: John Wilkinson, Convict, aged 22; disease or hurt, difficult respiration, pain and sense of itching in his breast under the sternum, with frequent cough which brings up florid and frothy blood. Taken ill, 3 September 1817. Discharged cured 19 September 1817. Had been spitting blood for three days but attributed it to cold.
Folio 5: Thomas Price, Convict, aged 50; disease or hurt, violent headache, pains in his loins and extremities. Taken ill, 3 September 1817. Discharged to duty 8 September 1817.
Folio 5: William Thompson, Convict, aged 58; disease or hurt, generally unwell, had no stool for five days. Taken ill, 4 September 1817. Discharged to duty 15 September 1817.
Folio 6: James Remnant, Convict, aged 24; disease or hurt, pain in his side and difficulty breathing, a little cough. Taken ill, 16 September 1817. Dismissed cured 28 September 1817.
Folio 6: Francis Ever, Convict, aged 20; disease or hurt, severe headache, vertigo, prostration of strength, anorexia and sickness of stomach. Taken ill, 19 September 1817. Dismissed cured 10 October 1817.
Folio 8: James Barnes, Convict, aged 21; disease or hurt, headache, fit and delirium. Taken ill, 2 October 1817. While convalescing from his previous illness Barnes was allowed to walk the deck but was observed to be following Surgeon Fairfowl wherever he went and appeared very downcast and melancholy. After first complaining of a headache he was seized by a fit during the night, followed by delirium. Surgeon Fairfowl concluded that the disease was 'more of the mind than of the body' and must relate to a previously undisclosed crime. Barnes was told that his illness was very serious and that he should make his peace with God and man. The following day he confessed to murdering a woman in Scotland two years previously. He signed a confession and was sent home by order of Rear Admiral Hamp[...], Commander in Chief at St Helena.
Folios 10 and 14: John Dunbabbin, Convict, aged 28; disease or hurt, violent griping tortuous pains in his bowels, with incipient desire to stool, dysentery. Taken ill, 10 October 1817. Dismissed 20 November 1817.
Folio 11: William Ward, Convict, aged 27; disease or hurt, severe pain in forehead, [limbs] and extremities, insatiable thirst, vertigo, lassitude and general debility. Taken ill, 11 October 1817. Dismissed 18 October 1817.
