Description

Folio 1: case no 1, Christopher McKeown, aged 40, private; taken ill at Deptford; sick or hurt, diarrhoea; put on sick list 19 August 1835, he was exchanged for private Josiah Bosworth on 21 August 1835.

Folio 2: case no 5, Robert Watson, aged 29, convict; taken ill off Sheerness; sick or hurt, ulcers; put on sick list 22 August 1835, landed 16 December 1835 at Hobart Town.

Folio 2: case no 6, George Crumb, aged 30, convict; taken ill off Sheerness; sick or hurt, ulcers, he was an African black and can speak very little English, on inspecting him found that he had a very badly ulcerated leg and considering him unfit for voyage, I [George Birnie, surgeon] represented his case to Mr Capper who ordered him to be delivered to a prison from the Fortitude hulk at Chatham; put on sick list 26 August 1835, sent 26 August 1835 to Fortitude hulk at Chatham.
