Description

Folio 47: Richard Cornwall, aged 20, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, fever from cold; put on sick list 5 April 1825, discharged 14 April 1825.

Folio 47: William Robinson, aged 32, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, rheumatism on the left side of the face; put on sick list 8 April 1825, discharged 14 April 1825.

Folio 47: Henry McGriskin, aged 24, private 57th Regiment, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, peripneumonia notha; put on sick list 16 April 1825, discharged 20 April 1825 to duty.

Folio 47: in addition to the list a considerable number of the convicts were affected with abrasion on the legs, occasioned by their irons and from falls requiring simple dressing and the application of a bandage.

Folio 48: Blank.

Folio 49: numerical abstract of cases listed in the journal.

Folios 49-50: Surgeon's general remarks. 130 male convicts were embarked at Sheerness on 16-17 November [1824] the greater part young men in a healthy condition 'as they were mostly Englishmen I found it difficult to persuade them to use oatmeal which is an article of their diet'.
