Caption order and prison record from when he was convicted of Larceny, stealing 4lbs of bread after a previous conviction of felony at the Quarter Sessions at Chelmsford, Essex 6 January 1852.
Then aged 17 and by trade a Labourer.
Sentence: 10 years Transportation.
Licence granted 31 July 1856, for early release from Dartmoor prison.
