Caption order and prison record from when he was convicted of Theft from the person of a woman, money and other articles, aggravated by previous conviction at the Circuit Court of Justiciary at Glasgow, Scotland 2 May 1853.
Then aged 18 and by trade a does nothing lawful.
Sentence: 7 years Transportation.
Licence granted 31 July 1856, for early release from Dartmoor prison.
