Caption order and prison record from when he was convicted of Receiving stolen goods, 89lbs of lead the property of John Woodhams (the prison record states: stealing a lead pump from a field) at the Quarter Sessions at Rye, Sussex 7 July 1853.
Then aged 46 and by trade a Sawyer.
Sentence: 7 years Transportation.
Licence granted 31 July 1856, for early release from Dartmoor prison.
