This series, which formerly bore the title Letters, Warrants, etc., absorbed in 1960 some of the OE (office establishment) series (otherwise in CRES 3) in the former Office of Woods, Forests and Land Revenues known as Letters and Papers (WF 1). It now contains the domestic correspondence of the Land Revenue Record Office and the correspondence of the Commissioners of Woods and Forests relative to the establishment of the Land Revenue Record Office. The series also includes some earlier material (1748 to 1793) comprising correspondence, accounts and warrants of former Surveyors General of Land Revenues.
