1 collective petition (convicts) on behalf of Catherine Halfpenny, Mary Ann Shoulds and Eleanor Smith, convicted at the Middlesex Quarter Sessions in December 1831, for uttering counterfeit coin. There is also a governor's report from G L Chesterton, governor at Cold Bath Fields House of Correction confirming the prison sentence served by convicts. Grounds for clemency: have served 6 months with hard labour and have been in prison for a further 4 months with no prospect of paying the sureties. Initial sentence: 6 months imprisonment and sureties for 6 months. Annotated: remission prepared 14 September 1832. GR 30
