There is a letter from Mr Kellock dated 26 October 1831 stating that he wishes the convict William Blake crossed off as he has been guilty of purloining several articles from the storehouse in the dockyard where he has been employed for 2 years and too much confidence was placed in him by the foreman and he wishes to include James Tovey on the list instead. Grounds for clemency: have served more than half their respective sentences and good behaviour during confinement. Initial sentence: 7 years. Annotated: free pardon 1 November 1831. GQ 14
