This series contains a continuous series of cash abstract books of successively, the Office of Woods, Forests, Land Revenues, Works and Buildings, from 1849 to 1851, the Office of Woods, Forests and Land Revenues, from 1851 to 1924, and the Office of Crown Lands, for the year 1924/1925. They record in summary form receipts (including, for example, sales of unimprovable rents, fees for leases and remittances from receivers) and expenditure (including, for example, repairs and improvements, salaries and imprests to officers).
It is not certain whether these volumes were placed in the Office of Land Revenue Records and Enrolments simply for safe-keeping, or were deposited in response to a statutory requirement.
