Enrolments of deeds and instruments relating to the purchase, sale, lease and exchange of Crown lands, made in the Office of Land Revenue Records and Enrolments under statutes 2 Will IV c1, 14 & 15 Vict c42, and 15 & 16 Vict c62.
The series includes enrolments relating to Crown woods which were not transferred to the Forestry Commission, but which remained the responsibility of the Commissioners of Crown Lands and their successors the Crown Estate Commissioners.
The series also contains a number of plans, many of which relate to deeds enrolled by entry in LRRO 13 but which were too large to be entered in the same books as the deed, and some enclosure awards.
These enrolments by deposit were made by, successively, the Office of Woods, Forests and Land Revenues (1852-1924), the Office of the Commissioners of Crown Lands (1924-1956) and the Office of the Crown Estate Commissioners (1956-1961).
Before 1 July 1914 the documents are classified in several series; but after this date they are arranged in a single general series. As with LRRO 13 it may be necessary, for the period before 1914, to search the indexes to series other than that to which a deed seems properly to belong.
Other enclosure awards are in E 315 LR 1
Registers and indexes are in LRRO 64
Earlier enrolments of deeds and other instruments relating to Crown lands, made under various statutes from 28 Hen VIII c27 (1536) to 10 Geo IV c50 (1829) are in:

Copies of leases and conveyances of later date than July 1961 were formerly among the records of the Crown Estate Commissioners in CRES 31, CRES 32 and CRES 41. All three series were withdrawn from the Public Record Office in the 1970s, but a card index to CRES 31 and CRES 32 is available for consultation, and lists of the three series are in
