Reports an interview by Mr Pountney, Paris correspondent of Standard in which Clémenceau was asked about a remark he was reported to have made at Carlsbad [as published by Edward Dicey in Empire Review enclosed] that there would be no peace in Europe until France had recovered Alsace Lorraine; also transmits extract from Le Figaro, 4 December, publishing response from M Clémenceau. Received on 05/12/1906. 12 folios.
