Description

Folio 22: case no 81, William Johnes, aged 59, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, rheumatism; put on sick list 2 April 1833, discharged 22 April 1833.

Folio 22: case no 82, John Wright, aged 19, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, fever; put on sick list 3 April 1833, discharged 16 May 1833.

Folio 22: case no 83, James Place, aged 40, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, rheumatism; put on sick list 3 April 1833, sent 17 May 1833 to colonial hospital.

Folio 23: surgeon's note, two hundred and sixteen male convicts were embarked on board the Lotus at Portsmouth, during November and December 1832 and the same number were disembarked at Van Dieman's Land on the 21st of May 1833. Signed: Henry Gordon Brook, M.D., surgeon and superintendent.

Folio 23: numerical abstract of cases mentioned in the journal, nosologically arranged.
