Description

Duke of Newcastle to Lords [Justices]. Draft letter about Wood's halfpence and disturbances in Ireland. Following the redution of the minting of copper coinage for Ireland to £40,000, what more can be done to calm the situation? Whose further advice should the king take? The Council in Ireland decline to give any advice. Lords Justices not to suffer any seditious libels on the matter to be published. Dated at Whitehall
