Sir R Walpole to duke of Newcastle. The refusal of the lords justices to signify the king's pleasure to the people and the lack of decision by the Council has made it impracticable to persuade the populace to accept Wood's halfpence. The replacement of the lords justices would make them even more popular. No other option than to send the Lord Lieutenant to Ireland. Dated at Heanton.
