Promotions in constabulary force following the retirement of T J Hazlett and vacancies in the posts of third class inspector and relieving officer. Reports that provisional appointments have been made as of 20 November 1923: Inspector W H F Sidley to be Deputy Inspector General; T J Field to be first class inspector; and J M O'Connor to be Depot Inspector. G H Lester suggests that the third officer vacancy could be filled by an ex-officer of the Royal Irish Constabulary.
